John Treanor has been appointed Director at Passive Dynamics, having joined the company in its early stages.
With a background in building services engineering and sustainability consultancy, John has played a key role in shaping the company’s approach, delivering advanced energy modelling, net zero carbon analysis and supporting projects through to certification. His experience, combined with a strong technical focus, has helped establish the standards and culture that underpin the team today.
In his new role, John will focus on building on that foundation, continuing to grow the business while maintaining its emphasis on technical depth and attention to detail. He is also committed to developing the next generation of engineers through mentorship and knowledge sharing, recognising this as central to long-term success.

Liam Guinan
Promoted to Associate Director
Liam Guinan has been appointed Associate Director at Passive Dynamics.
With a background in Energy Systems Engineering and a clear focus on sustainability from the outset, Liam has developed strong expertise across energy modelling, low-carbon design and building certification. His work supports project teams from early design through to delivery, with a focus on achieving measurable performance outcomes and maintaining high technical standards.
In his new role, Liam will take on greater strategic responsibility, with a particular emphasis on quality assurance and consistency across project delivery. He is also progressing toward Chartership, reflecting his commitment to continuous development in an evolving industry.
Looking ahead, Liam sees sustainability as a discipline that must continue to challenge established approaches, with collaboration, innovation and accountability central to delivering better-performing buildings.
David Devlin
Promoted to Associate Director
David Devlin has been appointed Associate Director at Passive Dynamics.
With a background in mechanical engineering and building services, David has developed strong expertise across energy modelling, overheating analysis and building performance, alongside his work in HPI, LEED and EU Taxonomy. His experience spans both residential and commercial projects, with a focus on delivering practical, performance-led solutions from design through to compliance.
In his new role, David will continue to strengthen the company’s technical offering, drawing on his understanding of both Irish and international standards. His progression reflects a culture built on trust, autonomy and continuous development, with a strong emphasis on collaboration across architects, engineers and building physics specialists.
